My new keys aren't working, what should I do?
So your new keys have arrived, but they are not turning the lock? There are a couple of potential reasons why this might be.
Locks will commonly develop issues when they sit unused for a while, such as their factory lubricant drying inside the keyway. Applying a liquid spray lubricant into the keyway followed by working the key in and out several times will typically allow the lock to turn again.
It is also common to see multiple manufacturers using the same lock numbers, which can be tough to identify correctly. If you are unable to locate a manufacturers name or label on your product, feel free to send a close up picture of your lock face to Contact Us and our key technicians can assist in identification.
