The lock series is the code used to determine the manufacturer of a lock. Typically these codes will be two letters at the beginning of the lock code.
For example, AA201- AA1100 are for an AA key. The AA is the identifying code for that manufacturer.
A lock series can be found by searching the lock number and or checking the manufacturer's site.
